Oje oje
Johannes Raimann, Courtesy Klemm’s
Oje oje, Johannes Raimann’s (b. 1992, Austria) first exhibition at Klemm’s, continues his investigation into the fragility and ephemerality of information. The exhibition asks not only what survives and what gets lost, but what kind of myths we are building today, and what kind of forces might wash them away.
Comprising three series of works and a site-specific installation, Oje oje draws on cuneiform - the earliest known writing system - to recall the ancient practice of inscribing marks into clay. The exhibition traces how stories survive catastrophe, carrying traces of power, destruction, and mortality across millennia.
