The human body, with its strange silhouettes and curved lines, recently inspired Landon Metz to rethink his practice and create new pigmented canvases that connect to his previous serial works while continuing his newly embraced figurative approach. Central to the exhibition will be a new five-part, eight-meter-long work, complemented by additional unique works the New York-based artist created especially for the exhibition.
Working with pigment and water on raw canvas, Landon Metz paints the human body, allowing its contours to give rise to fields of color that move between recognition and abstraction.
