Photo: Roland Krauss Jahn und Jahn is pleased to announce “The pencil is the best instrument for thinking”, an exhibition dedicated to the drawings of Maria Lassnig (1919–2014). The exhibition places particular emphasis on Lassnig’s works on paper, a fundamental aspect of her practice. Drawing was not simply a preparatory stage for painting, but an autonomous field of experimentation, the laboratory in which many of her most important ideas first emerged.
