The exhibition Ode to Elegance & Allure is a homage to the power of photography and brings together eight photographers who each negotiate the same question in their own way: what does elegance mean in an image? The answers could hardly be more different – and that is precisely the exhibition's strength. On one side stand the masters of classical visual language. Milton Greene and William Helburn come from an era when staging meant mastery: light, pose, timing. Greene brings an intimate stillness to this, Helburn wit and movement.
